AKU®-FLON PVDF SOLID RODS or ROUND BARS in PVDF

PVDF has a higher rigidity and pressure resistance than the related PTFE.
However, sliding behavior and electrical insulation behavior are somewhat worse.
It has high strength and toughness even at low temperatures and is self-extinguishing.
The continuous operating temperature is between -30°C and +150°C.
PVDF is highly resistant to chlorine, bromine and high-energy radiation.

  • high strength and rigidity
  • High toughness (even in cold conditions)
  • High chemical resistance
  • Very low water absorption
  • self-extinguishing
  • good sliding properties and abrasion resistance
  • High UV resistance
  • fluorine-containing components can be released in the event of fire
  • limited bondability but weldable
  • Relatively high coefficient of linear expansion

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) round rods are high-quality plastic rods made from the fluorine-containing polymer PVDF. PVDF is characterized by its exceptional resistance to chemicals, UV radiation and extreme temperatures, making it a preferred material for demanding industrial applications.

PVDF rods offer excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, acids and bases. They are therefore ideal for applications in the chemical industry, semiconductor production, food processing and other sectors where corrosive substances are present.

In addition, PVDF round bars are extremely resistant to UV radiation and weathering, which makes them suitable for outdoor use. They retain their color and mechanical properties even with long-term exposure to sunlight and weathering, which extends their service life.

PVDF round bars are also thermally stable and can withstand temperatures of up to 150°C without losing their mechanical properties. This makes them an ideal choice for applications in high-temperature and cryogenic technology, electronics and other areas where high temperature resistance is required.

The smooth surface of the PVDF rods makes them easy to process and handle, which facilitates their adaptation to various applications. They are available in various diameters and lengths to meet the requirements of different projects. From the manufacture of chemical equipment and containers to use in electrodes and medical technology components, PVDF rods offer a reliable and durable solution for a wide range of industrial applications.

PVDF sheets offer excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, acids and bases. They are therefore ideal for applications in the chemical industry, semiconductor production, food processing and other sectors where corrosive substances are present.

The smooth surface of the PVDF panels facilitates cleaning and maintenance and makes them hygienic and easy to care for. They are available in various thicknesses and sizes to meet the requirements of different applications. From the construction of chemical equipment and tanks to the cladding of facades and roofs, PVDF sheets offer a reliable and durable solution for a wide range of industrial applications.
